I’m an Air Force brat and moved around a lot with my family until my dad retired in Florida where I went to high school. I joined the Air Force and was stationed in Germany and California. After six years in the Air Force, I went to Texas to go to Bible college and seminary. I’ve spent 30 years in Christian ministry during which I traveled around the U.S. teaching and preaching the Bible. In Japan, I worked with the very affluent, and in the Philippines, I worked with the very poor. I’ve worked in rural Wisconsin, in suburban northern New Jersey, and in downtown Manhattan. After more than 30 years of Christian ministry, I resigned to pursue my passion for telling stories.

My wife Kathy and I have four wonderful children and four beautiful grandchildren. In addition to my writing, I also teach at Hudson County Community College and at Essex County College where I’ve been teaching Comparative Religion for the past 11 years. I’m a website developer. I love to fish on the Jersey shore. I sing and play guitar. I’m also an avid cyclist and cycle with the Major Taylor Cycling Club of New Jersey. During the summer of 2016, I rode my bicycle across the U.S. from Astoria, Oregon to my home in New Jersey. This 3,245-mile coast-to-coast bike ride took fifty-five days to complete. My most recent bicycle trip was a fundraiser for New City Kids. I raised over $4,000 for New City Kids and rode from Jersey City, NJ to Grand Rapids, MI—880 miles in eleven days.
